MPA are currently recruiting a Bids Manager for our well-established client based in the Bessbrook/Newry.
Job Description:
The main purpose of this position is to further develop and drive the client's Bids & Tender function to ensure that existing customers are retained and new business development opportunities are maximised. The key responsibilities of this position include:
1. To develop and implement the Bid Strategy ;
2. To ensure that annual Bid revenue targets and KPIs are met and exceeded;
3. Optimise efficiency and the effectiveness of Bid process;
4. To liaise with management in Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance to ensure that the Bid and Tendering function is fully supported;
5. Participate in the Bid and Tendering process including production of bids and representing the client at bid negotiations and short listing meetings;
6. Report to Senior Management and the Board on performance and plans;
7. To oversee all approved frameworks to ensure that relevant tender opportunities are identified;
8. To monitor and identify tender opportunities from tender portals and present these for review to the relevant stakeholders;
9. To ensure that bids are compiled and submitted in line with client specific requirements.
Essential Criteria-
. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bids Executive in the Environmental Consultancy, Risk Management / Compliance, FM, Construction or a related sector;
2. A track record of recent success in building or the complimentary services offered by the client and driving a dynamic Bid Team in these or related sectors;
3. A demonstrable track record of recent bid wins across Ireland and the UK;
4. A relevant 3rd level qualification and/or vocational training relevant to the position of Proposal/Bid Manager;
