Band 5 Base Co Ordinator Required in Newtownabbey

MPA are thrilled to be continuing to work alongside the NHS and we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 base Co-Ordinator in the Newtownabbey Area!

 

Where are you working?

This role will be based in Newtownabbey

Hours of Work & Rate of Pay

Monday- Friday 9am- 3pm and will be £14.53 per hour and £0.56 per mile.

What does the job in involve?

The Base Co Ordinator will work as a member of the Day Services team under the supervision of management to promote the service user’s independence and development.

A typical day will involve some of the following duties;

·         Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate individual packages of day provision and transport within the community.

·         Participate in monitoring and reviewing individual programmes of care

·         Establish goals on an individual basis to ensure maximum social inclusion

·         Maintain an updated database of opportunities within the community to include further education, volunteering, supported employment, social enterprise and leisure

·         Attend regular reviews of users and provide written reports of assessment

·         Maintenance of records

 

Do you meet the criteria?

·         NVQ/QCF/RVQ level 3 in care or Equivalent level 3 qualification in care plus 2 years paid employment experience with adults with a learning disability,

Or

·         NVQ/QCF/RVQ level 2 in care or Equivalent level 2 qualification in care plus 3 years paid employment experience with adults with a learning disability,

·         Registered with NISSC.

·         A full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance

·         Willingness to do mandatory inhouse training.

·         Must complete Enhanced Access NI check yearly.
