Android Engineer - Level II (Remote)
MPA has been appointed by one of Canada’s leading and fastest growing medical device companies to source a Android Engineer - Level II to join their team.
In this role you’ll work with a dynamic team of professionals who are all driven towards a common purpose: to change the world of technology and its impact on healthcare. The Android Engineer - Level II builds, tests and deploys new features within their Android application. They make recommendations on architectural changes and improve software processes within the team. This role also partners closely with the Product Team to design the best solutions for clinicians, enabling them to enhance the patient experience.
Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the quality and usability of the code you design: Performs code reviews, identifies and fixes bugs, creates automated tests, and monitor performance of the Skin and Wound application
Collaborates closely with Product Managers, Quality Assurance, DevOps to build new features
Makes recommendations that impact the performance, scalability and design of the features
Actively participates in technical design and planning discussions that challenges status quo and leads to stronger application architecture
Acts as a mentor and guide to junior Engineers and Developers
Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of Android development experience and an excellent command of engineering fundamentals with previous exposure to Kotlin
Experience working with RESTful APIs and writing networking level code
Experience with Android NDK and CMake
Experience with modern mobile application design patterns
Experience writing well-tested code
Salary range up to $120k for the right candidate
