MPA Belfast are recruiting on behalf of their client, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council for a temporary Administration Assistant, based in Antrim.
Communicative English, both written and verbal
Minimum of 5 G.C.S.E passes Grades A-C or equivalent, including English and Mathematics (Consideration may be given to those candidates who do not have the above qualifications but have at least 2 years relevant work experience as below)
A minimum of 6 months relevant work experience in a computerised finance environment
Effective communication skills
Organise and prioritise workload
Maintain a high degree of quality and accuracy
The Job Role
To provide support to the Finance Assistants in the following areas: handle requests from suppliers regarding outstanding payments and liaise with appropriate officers in other departments to resolve issues delaying payments, review and check statements received from suppliers and investigate any irregularities.
Copy and collate supporting documentation for grant claims submitted by the Department.
Creating and verifying new supplier details; for the creation of purchase orders and payment of invoices.
Maintaining the email inboxes for the Accounts Section: to include printing supplier invoices, queries etc.
Demonstrate a team approach to achieving the objectives of the Section through full flexibility in relation to tasks undertaken.
Other admin duties as required

Temporary for 3 months approx., with the possibility of extension
Holiday pay accrued from first day of employment
